JPMorgan Chase has selected SambaNova to build out its on-premises AI inference capabilities. The bank will integrate SambaNova’s fifth-generation SN50 chip and Reconfigurable Dataflow Unit (RDU) architecture into its data centers to accelerate AI workloads.

The investment focuses on achieving faster inference, lower latency, and improved energy efficiency for internal AI models. JPMorgan will deploy the specialized hardware to enhance fraud detection, risk management, and personalized banking services.

This collaboration reflects a growing trend of major banks investing in proprietary AI hardware to process vast datasets securely. As a top holding in financial ETFs, JPMorgan’s strategic technology spend serves as a key indicator for capital expenditure trends across the banking sector.
