Investors withdrew a record-breaking $15.6 billion from private credit funds during the second quarter of 2026, signaling rising pressure in the sector. This surge represents the third straight quarterly rise in redemption requests, which have climbed by a total of $13 billion.

The volume of withdrawal requests has spiked by 500% over this period. Despite the high demand for liquidity, fund managers have fulfilled only 38% of these redemption applications, highlighting significant liquidity constraints within the private credit market.
