Amazon.com Inc. announced plans on May 4, 2026, to launch a new supply chain service for external businesses. The company will offer its warehousing and shipping capabilities to consumer goods manufacturers and apparel retailers.

This initiative replicates the Amazon Web Services (AWS) model by monetizing internal infrastructure for third-party use. The move targets the global third-party logistics (3PL) market.

The global 3PL market is currently valued at over $1.3 trillion. This expansion creates a new revenue stream beyond the company's core retail and cloud operations.
