Stellantis N.V. and Dongfeng Motor Group signed a strategic agreement to expand their 34-year partnership.

The companies will invest over 8 billion yuan (approximately 1 billion euros) to manufacture new energy vehicles (NEVs) in Wuhan, China.

The joint venture, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Automobile (DPCA), will launch two Peugeot-branded NEVs in 2027.

DPCA will subsequently produce two new energy off-road models for the Jeep brand.

Stellantis will sell these vehicles in China and export them to global markets.

The move establishes China as a primary export hub for Stellantis’s electrified models.

The partnership leverages the combined scale and research capabilities of both automakers to accelerate Stellantis’s global electric vehicle goals.
