Tesla announced on Tuesday that Croatia has approved its supervised Full Self-Driving (FSD) system, with a rollout expected to begin soon. Croatia is the latest in a growing list of European nations to approve the technology in 2026, following the Netherlands, Belgium and Slovenia. Individual country approvals have accelerated in recent months.

Expanding FSD is a key part of Tesla’s strategy to boost sales and strengthen its position against rising competition from Chinese electric-vehicle makers in Europe. Tesla still awaits a unified, bloc-wide decision from the European Union. A vote on an EU-wide rollout was delayed and is not expected before December at the earliest.
