Tesla, Inc. announced plans on August 18, 2026, to launch its Cybercab robotaxi service.
The initial rollout begins in Austin, Texas, with public rides starting by the end of August.
The Cybercab features a two-seater design without a steering wheel or pedals.
Tesla is currently testing vehicles and training local emergency responders in Austin.
The company also opened a lottery for tickets to the official Cybercab launch event.
