TSMC's Arizona subsidiary reported a significant surge in profitability, with first-half 2026 profits jumping 663% year-over-year to NT$58.529 billion. This performance has established the Arizona facility as the largest profit contributor among TSMC's overseas manufacturing operations, surpassing the company's longtime leading plant in Nanjing.
The rapid growth is attributed to the successful production ramp-up of its 4nm process, which began volume production in late 2024. Strong demand from key customers, including NVIDIA, has kept the facility's output fully utilized. Despite this positive operational news, TSMC's stock was reportedly trading lower, influenced by a broader market pullback.
