CATL and logistics operator DST launched China’s first standardized battery swap ecosystem for light trucks. The first vehicle batch is currently operational for urban logistics in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Partners have already constructed 31 swap stations within the region. The initiative aims to deploy 5,000 standardized battery swap light trucks by the end of 2026. CATL plans to expand the Greater Bay Area network to 140 stations by that date. The company targets a nationwide total of 3,000 swap stations for passenger and light trucks by 2026.
