American Airlines plans to become the first commercial carrier to resume flights between the U.S. and Venezuela. Service is scheduled to begin as early as April 30, 2026.

The airline will operate daily non-stop flights between Miami International Airport and Caracas. Regional subsidiary Envoy Air will manage the route using Embraer 175 aircraft.

This resumption follows the U.S. government's decision to lift a 2019 order suspending all commercial flights between the nations. American Airlines previously operated in Venezuela for over 30 years and served as the largest U.S. carrier in that market before the suspension.
