Apple will lower its App Store commission for developers in mainland China starting March 15.

Standard commission rates for paid apps and in-app purchases on iOS and iPadOS will drop from 30% to 25%.

Fees for the App Store Small Business Program and the Mini Apps Partner Program will decrease from 15% to 12%.

The 12% rate also applies to auto-renewing subscriptions after the first year of service.

This policy change follows direct discussions between Apple and Chinese regulators.

The company faces increasing regulatory scrutiny and potential antitrust investigations regarding its regional App Store practices.
