Apple’s generative AI app revenue is on track to exceed $1 billion annually. According to AppMagic data, monthly revenue in 2025 climbed from $35 million in January to a peak of $101 million in August. Total App Store fees for the year reached nearly $900 million.
OpenAI’s ChatGPT accounts for 75% of this total revenue. xAI’s Grok is the second-largest contributor with a 5% share.
This growth highlights a significant expansion for Apple’s services business. The company collects commissions ranging from 15% to 30% on these app subscriptions.
