Apple agreed to a $250 million settlement to resolve a class-action lawsuit. The legal action alleged Apple misled consumers regarding Siri AI capabilities on iPhone 16 and iPhone 15 Pro models. Plaintiffs claimed advertised AI features were unavailable at launch and faced significant delays.
The settlement received preliminary court approval to compensate eligible U.S. customers. Eligible users must have purchased the devices between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. Individual payouts will range from $25 to $95 per device based on the number of claims filed.
Apple denied any wrongdoing in its official statement. The company stated it settled the matter to focus on delivering innovative products.
