Apple Chief Hardware Officer Johny Srouji is leading a major reorganization of the company’s hardware development division. The restructuring aims to accelerate device creation by more closely integrating in-house silicon teams with product teams.
The plan redistributes key functions and expands the roles of several executives. Responsibilities previously held by the head of product design are being divided among other leaders.
Leaders in silicon engineering and advanced technologies will gain additional oversight of specialized projects. This includes the development of a noninvasive blood-sugar monitor.
