Apple requested a federal judge dismiss a proposed class-action lawsuit alleging the company defrauded shareholders.
The suit claims Apple overstated the artificial intelligence capabilities of its Siri voice assistant. It also alleges the company misrepresented its compliance with an injunction regarding app store commissions from the Epic Games case.
Apple argued in a court filing that no evidence shows it intentionally misled investors regarding the development timeline for advanced Siri AI features. The company stated it never guaranteed flawless procedures for complying with the Epic Games injunction.
The lawsuit covers shareholder losses occurring between May 2024 and May 2025.
