Apple agreed to submit its India business financial details to the Competition Commission of India (CCI). This move advances a long-pending antitrust case toward a potential penalty decision.
The CCI granted Apple a final extension until June 25 to file the India-specific information. This follows a request made during a May 21 hearing and a recent court directive for the company to cooperate with the investigation.
A 2024 CCI probe concluded that Apple abused its dominant market position through its App Store policies. Apple previously resisted sharing financial data, citing concerns that India’s revised antitrust laws could trigger penalties based on its global turnover.
