The Federal Trade Commission sued to halt a massive subscription scheme operated by Genesis Tech. The network consists of 15 corporations and eight individuals. This enterprise generated nearly $250 million in global revenue between early 2023 and mid-2025.

Genesis Tech marketed fitness, nutrition, and productivity apps while hiding recurring fees from consumers. The operation allegedly made canceling these services intentionally difficult. The network used shell companies in Cyprus and Delaware to process payments and evade fraud detection.

This scheme exploited the app store ecosystems of Apple and Google, though neither company is a defendant. The FTC seeks to stop the operation and secure redress for affected consumers. The lawsuit alleges violations of the FTC Act and the Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act (ROSCA).
