The Spanish government approved Aena’s DORA III Airport Regulation Document for the 2027-2031 period.
The plan mandates nearly €10 billion in regulated investment. Total spending for the five-year cycle will reach approximately €13 billion. Aena will fund the remaining balance through its commercial revenue.
The framework limits average annual airline fee increases to 0.33% to maintain competitiveness.
Key projects include expansions and sustainability upgrades at Madrid-Barajas and Barcelona-El Prat airports. These investments aim to accommodate projected traffic growth over the coming decades.
