Airbus secured an order from China Eastern Airlines for 25 A330neo wide-body jets. The deal carries a list price of approximately $9.35 billion. Final purchase prices typically reflect substantial discounts from list prices.
China Eastern will receive the aircraft in batches between 2029 and 2033. The airline will deploy the fuel-efficient jets to expand international routes from its Shanghai Pudong hub. These aircraft will replace older, less efficient models.
This agreement represents the largest A330neo commitment by a Chinese carrier. The deal follows a separate order for 101 narrow-body A320neo jets placed in March.
