The FAA rule becomes effective on October 2, 2026. The order applies to all Trent 7000-72 and -72C engine variants.
Mechanical failures in the pumps can trigger low oil pressure indications. These conditions may result in commanded single or dual engine shutdowns. Such failures pose a risk of reduced aircraft control or total loss of the airframe.
