Airbus completed a landmark non-stop test flight of its A350-1000ULR aircraft. The plane flew for over 24 hours from Melbourne, Australia, to its base in Toulouse, France. This journey covered approximately 23,076 kilometers.

The mission serves as a crucial validation for the Qantas Project Sunrise initiative. Qantas aims to launch the world's longest commercial flights starting in 2027. These ultra-long-haul routes will connect Sydney directly with London and New York.

The successful marathon flight demonstrates the technical capability of the specially adapted A350. Millions of people tracked the aircraft's progress online during the event.
