Amazon Web Services (AWS) reported a second disruption to its Bahrain cloud region this month. Drone activity linked to ongoing conflict in the Middle East caused the service interruption.
Amazon has not confirmed direct hits or the specific extent of damage to its data centers. The company is currently assisting clients with workload migrations to other AWS regions to maintain service continuity.
This follows military activity earlier in March that affected AWS facilities in both Bahrain and the UAE. Those previous incidents resulted in power outages and structural damage.
