Amazon plans to invest $3 billion into its Indian quick commerce operations by 2030. The company will commit $1 billion by the end of 2027, with an additional $2 billion to follow.
The capital funds an aggressive expansion of the Amazon Now rapid delivery service. Amazon aims to increase its neighborhood warehouse network to 1,300 locations by April 2025. This expansion grows the current footprint from approximately 750 sites. The plan also includes upgrades to inventory management software and AI-based demand forecasting.
Amazon currently holds a 6.2% share of the Indian quick commerce market. This investment intensifies competition with established leaders including Zomato’s Blinkit, Swiggy, and Walmart-owned Flipkart.
