New Jersey filed an antitrust lawsuit against Amazon on Tuesday. The state accuses the retailer of abusing market power to enforce low pay and poor working conditions for independent drivers.
Attorney General Jennifer Davenport announced the complaint targeting Amazon’s Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program. The suit alleges Amazon violates federal law by restraining competition within the delivery services market.
The complaint contends Amazon leverages its dominance to impose restrictive policies on participating delivery businesses. These practices allegedly limit worker opportunities and unlawfully stifle sector competition.
