Amazon launched its next-generation AI assistant, Alexa+, in the United Kingdom. This release marks the product's first debut in the European market. The system uses generative AI to provide personalized interactions and complete multi-step tasks like restaurant bookings.

The Early Access program begins on March 19, 2026. Customers with compatible Echo and Fire TV devices can access the service for free during this period. Following the trial, Alexa+ will be included for Prime members. Non-Prime customers will pay a monthly subscription fee of £19.99.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) also announced a partnership with the National Geographic Society. AWS will serve as the organization's preferred cloud provider. The project involves migrating and digitizing National Geographic’s historical media assets.
