Amazon is increasing its investment in Spain by $21 billion to expand cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure. This additional funding brings the company's total financial commitment in the country to $38 billion.
The expansion includes the construction and staffing of new data centers. These facilities are intended to bolster Europe's digital capabilities while contributing to Spain's GDP and creating thousands of local jobs.
This initiative follows recent multi-billion dollar investments by Amazon in other international markets, including India. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez stated that the commitment reinforces Spain's position as a stable destination for major technology capital.
