Amazon’s streaming platform Twitch now uses creator content to train generative AI models. This data collection includes live streams, video-on-demand, clips, and chat logs.
The feature is enabled by default for all accounts. Users must manually disable a toggle in their security and privacy settings to stop future data sharing.
Streamers have criticized the policy for utilizing their content without explicit consent. The opt-out does not apply retroactively to previously collected data.
Twitch will continue to use creator content for other AI-powered features. These include tools such as AutoMod and automated captioning.
