An employee at an Amazon warehouse in Troutdale, Oregon, died after collapsing during a shift on April 6, 2026. The death at the facility, known as PDX9, was not widely reported for a week until an investigation by the publication The Western Edge was released.

Following the man's collapse, fellow employees have alleged that managers instructed them to continue working for over an hour while the deceased worker remained on the floor. One supervisor reportedly told an employee who offered to help, "Just turn around and not look. Let's get back to work." The facility has a documented history of safety issues, including a 2019 report that identified it as having a high injury rate. Amazon has not yet issued a public statement on the incident.
