A federal judge dismissed an antitrust lawsuit against Amazon Web Services (AWS), granting the cloud-hosting division a victory over rival Subspace Omega LLC. The suit alleged AWS engaged in monopolistic practices in the cloud-computing sector.
The court found that the plaintiff failed to sufficiently demonstrate a "dangerous probability" that AWS would attain monopoly power in the market.
The dismissal remains conditional. The judge granted Subspace Omega leave to amend the complaint, allowing the rival the opportunity to refile the case.
The now-defunct tech company initially filed the lawsuit in 2023, targeting Amazon’s successful cloud-hosting division.
