Anthropic expects first profit as revenue jumps to $10.9 billion

Anthropic expects second-quarter revenue to reach $10.9 billion. This figure more than doubles the $4.8 billion reported in the first quarter.

The company anticipates its first-ever operating profit of $559 million for the June quarter. This milestone arrives significantly earlier than previous projections, which did not expect profitability until at least 2028.

Anthropic noted it may not remain profitable for the full year. Planned increases in spending for computing and model training are expected to impact future earnings.
