Anthropic unveiled Project Glasswing in partnership with Amazon, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Broadcom, and Nvidia. This cybersecurity initiative centers on a new, unreleased AI model called Claude Mythos Preview.
The model demonstrates an advanced ability to discover and exploit software vulnerabilities. It has already identified thousands of severe security flaws across every major operating system and web browser.
Anthropic will not release Claude Mythos Preview to the public due to its powerful capabilities. The company will instead provide the model to project partners and over 40 other organizations to proactively secure software.
Anthropic is committing $100 million in usage credits to support the initiative. The company is also donating $4 million to create a defensive advantage against cyber threats.
