Amazon Web Services (AWS) will offer OpenAI’s artificial intelligence models to its cloud customers. This move follows Microsoft’s agreement to end its exclusive reselling rights for OpenAI technology just one day prior.
AWS users gain direct access to advanced OpenAI models and early previews through the platform. The integration includes OpenAI models on Amazon Bedrock and new OpenAI-powered Bedrock Managed Agents.
The rollout follows a multi-billion dollar investment and cloud computing partnership established between Amazon and OpenAI earlier this year. OpenAI can now distribute products across any cloud provider, removing the competitive advantage previously held by Microsoft Azure.
