Slate Auto officially priced its debut electric pickup truck at $24,950. The Jeff Bezos-backed startup also set a $29,950 starting price for two SUV variants built on the same platform. The base model now features an estimated range of 205 miles, an increase from the previous 150-mile target.
The company utilizes a radically simple design to maintain low entry costs. Base models exclude touchscreens and power windows in favor of manual components. Buyers can customize vehicles after purchase, including converting the pickup into an SUV.
The low price point directly challenges premium electric trucks from Ford and Rivian. Slate Auto expects to begin customer deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2026.
