Amazon MGM Studios' United Artists has acquired the rights to 'Lizard Music,' a film starring Dwayne Johnson and directed by Benny Safdie. Safdie also penned the script, which is based on a novel by Daniel Pinkwater. The project was reportedly secured in a competitive bidding situation by United Artists and Scott Stuber. The movie will feature Johnson in the role of a 70-year-old man called 'Chicken Man,' whose closest friend is a 111-year-old chicken. Courtenay Valenti, the head of film, streaming, and theatrical for Amazon MGM, stated that the studio is 'thrilled' to partner with Johnson and Safdie on the project.
