OpenAI partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to sell AI models to U.S. government agencies. The deal covers both classified and unclassified federal work through AWS cloud infrastructure. Amazon’s sales team will market OpenAI products directly to federal customers. This agreement follows a Pentagon contract OpenAI secured after rival Anthropic encountered disputes with the Defense Department.
Anthropic is in discussions with Blackstone and Hellman & Friedman to form a joint venture. The partnership would integrate Anthropic’s AI technology into the private equity firms' portfolio companies. The proposed model combines software with consulting services, similar to the strategy used by Palantir.
