Amazon introduced a new agentic AI service to automate tasks for its third-party sellers. The platform features "workflows" that continuously monitor and execute prompts without human oversight. This allows the AI to automatically adjust product pricing and send alerts regarding rating changes.
The Seller Assistant maintains a persistent memory of each seller's business history. This data provides personalized recommendations for inventory management and promotional strategies.
Amazon will integrate the service as a plugin with Amazon Quick and Anthropic’s Claude beta. Mary Beth Westmoreland, VP of Worldwide Selling Experience, stated the service is optional and free for all sellers. Users retain control over the volume of personal data shared with the AI agent.
