Amazon is winding down most in-house Nova AI models as part of a significant strategy overhaul. A Business Insider report indicates the company will deprecate its high-end Premier and Omni models, as well as its video and image generation tools.

Resources are being redirected toward a new frontier-model development, which is now the company's primary focus. Amazon expects to unveil this new flagship model at its annual re:Invent conference later this year.

This move follows recent staff reductions within Amazon’s artificial general intelligence division to streamline customer-facing initiatives. The strategic pivot addresses challenges in generating market excitement comparable to rival AI developers.
