ASML Executive States Company Has No Sales in Europe, Citing Lack of Investment

ASML Holding NV currently sells no chipmaking machines in Europe. Frank Heemskerk, Executive Vice President for Global Public Affairs, attributed this to an absence of investment and new chip factories.

The comment highlights Europe's struggle to build a domestic semiconductor industry, a key goal for the European Union. ASML is Europe's most valuable technology firm. However, Asian markets dominate its sales. China, Taiwan, and South Korea account for the vast majority of its 2025 revenue.
