ASML is reducing management positions to streamline operations and improve efficiency. This initiative continues a January plan to cut up to 1,700 jobs following complaints regarding the company's complex structure.

The chip-making equipment manufacturer will implement a six-week hiring freeze this summer. ASML is also reducing the number of senior technical architect roles and redefining their responsibilities.

The company expects to create several hundred new positions in AI, manufacturing, and customer support. Impacted employees will receive priority for these new roles.
