A US-based aviation safety group alleges the Air India Boeing 787, which crashed in June 2025, experienced multiple technical problems throughout its service life.

The Foundation for Aviation Safety (FAS) submitted a presentation to the US Senate on January 12, 2026. The FAS claims the aircraft suffered system failures starting on its first day of operation with Air India.

FAS based its findings on analyzing over 2,000 aircraft systems failure reports related to the 787. The group asserts that ongoing public safety issues concerning the 787 are being downplayed globally.
