Baidu’s Apollo Go secured approval for a new cross-district route in Hong Kong. The route connects Airport Island with Tung Chung and Sunny Bay. This is the first approved cross-district operation of its kind.
This marks the fifth expansion for Apollo Go in Hong Kong. The company obtained its initial autonomous vehicle pilot license in November 2024. The expansion demonstrates Baidu's commercialization of autonomous driving technology in new markets.
