Bristol Myers Squibb and partner SystImmune announced positive results from two Phase 3 trials for the investigational cancer drug izalontamab brengitecan (iza-bren).

Researchers presented the data at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting.

The drug met dual primary endpoints by improving overall survival and progression-free survival in two difficult-to-treat cancers.

The trials evaluated iza-bren, a first-in-class EGFRxHER3 bispecific antibody-drug conjugate (ADC).

Patient groups included those with triple-negative breast cancer and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.

Iza-bren demonstrated statistically significant and clinically meaningful survival improvements compared to standard chemotherapy in both studies.

The drug maintained a manageable safety profile.

These results position iza-bren as a potential new standard of care for these patient populations.
