Bristol Myers Squibb reported Phase 3 SUCCESSOR-2 trial results for its multiple myeloma drug, mezigdomide. The company presented these findings at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting.

Mezigdomide combined with carfilzomib and dexamethasone reduced the risk of disease progression or death by 52%. Patients using the combination therapy achieved a median progression-free survival of 18 months. This result more than doubled the 8.3 months recorded in the control group.

The treatment significantly increased the overall response rate. It also nearly tripled the complete response rate compared to the standard two-drug regimen.

Safety profiles remained consistent with previous clinical studies. Bristol Myers Squibb will now discuss the trial data with regulatory authorities.
