Warren Buffett converted 8,000 Berkshire Hathaway Class A shares. He exchanged these for 12 million Class B shares to facilitate a charitable donation. The shares were distributed to the Susan Thompson Buffett, Sherwood, Howard G. Buffett, and Novo foundations.
Following the donation, Mr. Buffett holds 188,290 Class A shares. He also retains 1,162 Class B shares.
The investor reaffirmed his commitment to dispose of all Berkshire holdings within eight years. He plans to complete the donation of all remaining shares by December 31, 2034.
