Bitdeer Technologies Group announced a 10-year agreement for a data center campus in Malaysia. The campus will have 67 megawatts of capacity and is expected to begin operations in the first quarter of 2027. It will support advanced liquid-cooled NVIDIA systems.
The agreement brings Bitdeer’s total secured data center capacity to approximately 273.5 megawatts. Its pipeline of potential AI cloud capacity opportunities is now estimated to exceed $10 billion.
On October 8, Bitdeer retracted an earlier announcement about a separate facility in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. That facility had been described as a 60-megawatt site. The stock traded more than 2% higher overnight, as investors appeared to respond positively to the newly confirmed agreement.
The developments came a day after Bitdeer’s board authorized a share repurchase program of up to $100 million. The program is effective through October 2028.
