Coinbase is making its premium exchange data available on-chain for the first time. The company integrated with Chainlink’s DataLink service to provide DeFi developers with direct access to institutional market information.
The datasets include order book information and spot prices. Coinbase also provides data for perpetual and e-mini futures from its derivatives exchanges. This information currently underpins billions in institutional trading activity.
The integration aims to support more accurate pricing and enhance risk management. It enables the creation of new on-chain markets for derivatives and tokenized real-world assets (RWAs).
