Salesforce signed a definitive agreement to acquire Contentful, a leading composable content platform. The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction. Salesforce will integrate Contentful’s headless CMS into its Customer 360 and Headless 360 offerings. More than 4,800 brands currently use Contentful to manage and deliver digital content across various channels.
The acquisition supports Salesforce’s strategy to enhance its Agentforce AI platform. A native content layer allows AI agents to dynamically assemble and deliver personalized customer experiences in real-time. This move unifies customer data with AI-driven content to create consistent interactions across all digital touchpoints. Salesforce expects the transaction to close in the third quarter of fiscal year 2027.
