The move is part of Salesforce's broader strategy to create an "Agentic Enterprise" with Slack as the central hub where employees collaborate with AI agents. By leveraging platforms like Agentforce 360, the new Slackbot can access and reason over both structured CRM data and unstructured conversational data from within Slack. This allows it to handle complex requests, from summarizing conversations and preparing meeting notes to updating sales records, aiming to significantly boost user productivity.
