AI cloud provider CoreWeave, Inc. announced its entry into India with plans to develop 240 megawatts of data center capacity in Navi Mumbai. The project represents a multi-billion-dollar investment and will expand CoreWeave’s presence in the Asia-Pacific region, following its recent expansion into Indonesia.
CoreWeave is partnering with AdaniConneX, a joint venture between Adani Enterprises and EdgeConneX, to build the campus. It will comprise three facilities, each with 80 megawatts of capacity.
The data centers are designed for high-density AI workloads and will feature NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform. The first phase is expected to be operational by mid-2028.
CoreWeave will establish a local office and hire in India to support the region’s growing AI ecosystem. The agreement also gives CoreWeave the option to double capacity at the site to 480 megawatts.
