Chevron, Exxon Mobil, and BP are reportedly discussing potential oil exploration and extraction projects with the Mexican government and state-owned Pemex.

The firms have submitted proposals for fields capable of collectively producing up to 200,000 barrels per day. Developing these fields requires significant new capital investment.

These partnerships align with Mexico's strategy to boost national oil production through collaboration with international energy firms. Several Mexican companies have also expressed interest in participating in the development.
