Chevron has resumed normal operations at the Leviathan gas field off the coast of Israel. The facility returned to production following a 33-day suspension triggered by the Iran conflict.

The shutdown began on February 28 following a security recommendation from Israel’s energy minister. Authorities notified the operator on March 31 that preparations to resume operations could proceed.

The Leviathan field provides essential energy supplies to Israel, Egypt, and Jordan. Project partner NewMed Energy stated the month-long closure will not materially affect its 2026 cash flow forecasts.
